The project aims to cultivate the interest in musicals for children, teenagers and the elderly in the community, as well as foster inter-generational harmony through a series of workshops and programmes to share and promote the unique cultural characteristics of the Sham Shui Po District.
An opening performance to introduce the scheme, boost interests in musical and recruit workshops participants in the community.
Workshops including acting, music, physical theatre and simple magic are available to train up the performing skills of the participants. After the workshops, performances will be followed to showcase their learning and talents.
A journey in the district with guided tours in a theatrical approach, the activity will end up with folk stories and personal experience shared by local elderly to let you have a glimpse in the community history.
Featuring participants of Musical Theatre Workshops and professional performers, the Finale Performance will stage an original musical based on a folk story of Sham Shui Po district.
Programmes conducted in Cantonese.
