About the Programme
The project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community culture by integrating elements of musical theatre performance and sports. A series of year-round arts activities will be carried out in the Yuen Long district, encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to participate, explore, and experience both sports and performing arts. The goal is to inspire individuals to pursue their dreams while enriching the quality of community life.

About the Group
The Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Musical Theatre Academy Limited (MDT) is French choreographer Mr. Mohamed Drissi. MDT provides musical theatre education, training, development opportunities, professional advice, and knowledge to musical theatre enthusiasts of different ages and skill levels. The academy is dedicated to offering regular opportunities through diverse training programs for children, teenagers, adults, beginners, and professional musical theatre performers. These programs aim to enhance students' musical theatre skills and cultivate a professional performance attitude. Some of the recent musical theatre productions by the company include "Next to Normal" and the 2022 International Arts Carnival "The Enchanted Bookshop Musical". Since 2020-21, MDT has also participated in the "18dART — Community Arts Scheme".
Programmes conducted in Cantonese and English.
All activities of the scheme are free of charge.
To show care for senior citizens, people with different abilities and other communities in need, the LCSD has introduced the Community Care Series which offers a vast range of recreational, sports and cultural activities and facilities. For details, please visit its webpage at
