About the Programme

The programme aims to bring a cappella music into the community and connect different communities and people in the district. By organising various a cappella workshops, a cappella seminars, concerts and other activities, etc., the audience can get close to a cappella and explore different aspects of Kwai Tsing district through this form of performing arts. Leveraging the experience of the past two years, the upcoming programme will emphasize in-depth cultivation of a cappella learning and participation.

About the Group

Founded in 2017, Boonfaysau (BFS) is an award-winning, fully fledged A Cappella team from Hong Kong. BFS was founded on the members’ shared passion for singing, and vocal cords that brave the frontiers of various musical genres. BFS has been invited to perform overseas on numerous occasions and has garnered numerous local and international A Cappella awards. They won the overall championship in the Asian Cup A Cappella Competition, Vocal Asia Festival 2018, the largest A Cappella event in Asia, where they represented Hong Kong. They have also received the VoiceJam Award by the Walton Arts Center of Arkansas, USA and the Special Award for Best Rhythm Section. In 2022, BFS was invited by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Seoul to present A Cappella performances in Hong Kong through holographic projection, reaching audiences in Tokyo and Seoul. They also participated as the main performing group in programmes organised by the Cultural Presentations Section.
